The chief prosecuting officer for the county is responsible for initiating charges and prosecuting people, including juveniles, who have been accused of felony and misdemeanor offenses; enforcing laws which require responsible people to support their dependents; and investigating allegations of major fraud, organized criminal activity and corruption as well as unlawful conduct by public officials.
Provides a central point of intake for those who need services from multiple agencies that offer services for victims of violent crime. Goal is to help the victim avoid the extra stress of traveling to several locations for different types of assistance. Victim advocates help with protection orders, communication with the police or prosecutors, and access to counseling, among other supportive services.

Provides 24-hour emergency crisis service to survivors of sexual assault, rape and trafficking. Services are also available to family and friends of the survivor. 24/7 Support Services include: - Crisis Intervention: Provides free crisis intervention, support, and safety planning in a face-to-face setting or through the 24-hour confidential and/or anonymous hotline. - Support and Advocacy: Provides a Client Advocate available on call to respond to requests for direct client care such as accompanying to the hospital, during a forensic medical exam, at the Police Department, or in court.

Individuals living in the same house as the survivor are also eligible for this program. The program is most effective if a participant has just moved or will move in the immediate future. State’s official crime lab. Provides criminal investigative services to local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies upon request. Can submit a law enforcement tip on BCI investigation, crystal meth leads, election fraud, environmental enforcement, marijuana leads, public corruption, sex offender leads, submit a missing persons tip, unsolved homicide tip, report Medicaid fraud, patient abuse or neglect.

Provides trauma recovery mental health services (counseling, therapy, and peer support) to victims of violence. Case management is provided to link the client to other community services as appropriate to their situation and needs. The case manager may also provide transportation to and from medical, court and legal appointments associated with recovery from the violent event. In some cases, temporary housing may be provided to clients who are receiving mental health services from this agency.
