After experiencing interpersonal violence, you may wish to report to law enforcement authorities. SAOP can provide a trained advocate to accompany, support, and advocate for you during this process. Some individuals wish to take civil or criminal legal action after experiencing interpersonal violence. SAOP advocates can provide detailed information regarding these processes, offer accompaniment, and provide further support as the case proceeds.

Provides crime victim compensation.

Provides assistance to victims and witnesses of crimes through intervention, referrals to social service agencies, procuring compensation through appropriate state laws, and other related services.

Provides crime victim support, case management services, and counseling to victims of human trafficking. Will refer clients to appropriate community services as needed. Will provide rides and accompany the client to legal meetings and proceedings as well as medical appointments, etc. Provides counseling to victims of human trafficking and will refer the client to outside service if psychiatric services are needed.

Provides access to victim advocates who can answer general questions about crime victim rights, the criminal justice process, and related topics. Advocates may also provide referrals to other local resources and services that offer support to crime victims. Provide Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention services to Mahoning, Columbiana, Trumbull and Ashtabula Counties; 24/7 2-1-1 Information and Referral access for Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull Counties and after hours for Ashtabula and Lake Counties; after hours link to various agencies in Mahoning, Columbiana, Trumbull and Ashtabula Counties; support groups for Survivors of Suicide; Senior Line; housing assistance and payee programs; Intensive Guardian Program; Recovery Services (Mahoning and Trumbull counties); Victim's Assistance; Community Center (Mahoning and Columbiana Counties); Special Navigator for Families with Special Needs.

Providies victim advocacy supportive services to drunk and drugged driving survivors, to help them cope with impact of substance-impaired driving crashes, also working as a liaison between survivors and the court systems, conducts advocacy efforts on behalf on the crash survivors

Homeless Outreach and Case Management, Rapid Re-housing, Emergency Assistance/Basic Needs, First Step Pregnancy Support, Limited transportation for Seniors, Social Work Counseling, HUD housing counseling including Foreclosure Prevention and Pre-purchase education, SSI/SSDI/SOAR Specialist, Prison Re-entry Case Management.

Provides police protection and support services for the City of Lyndhurst. Maintains police records and police reports. Offers fingerprinting, property identification, support for crime witnesses/victims, substance analysis, and will provide some information regarding drugs. Will assist with filing a missing persons report.

The Office of Victim Services offers victim and offender mediation programs.

Crisis intervention and advocacy including assisting victims with concerns related to inmates and offenders under community supervision. Provides information regarding status of offenders in prison or under community supervision; community education and referrals to state and community services.

Provides support and assistance in the hospital emergency room to victims of rape, incest, and sexual assault as well as the families of those assaulted. Volunteers meet survivors at the hospital and stay with the victim through the physical exam and the police report. Victims provided support through any interviews, medical exams, trauma and financial problems, and court proceedings (regardless of whether or not the offender is arrested or prosecuted).

Advocates can accompany survivors to court, assist with civil protection orders, and help survivors navigate the legal system.

Provides emergency shelter crisis intervention and support for victims of domestic violence.

The Prosecutor's office offers victim-of-crime services through a victim advocate.

Offers crime victim notification services that informs the victim of the release or escape of the offender who perpetrated the crime.

Provides a central point of intake for those who need services from multiple agencies that offer services for victims of violent crime. Goal is to help the victim avoid the extra stress of traveling to several locations for different types of assistance. Victim advocates help with protection orders, communication with the police or prosecutors, and access to counseling, among other supportive services.

Allows crime victims to register for information about criminal cases and the custody status of incarcerated offenders. Victims and other concerned citizens can register to be notified by phone, email, text message (SMS) or TTY device when an incarcerated offender is released from custody or is transferred to another facility.

Provides victim's rights advocacy including accompanying victim to court and to other legal appointments.

Offers advocate services for victims of impaired driving. Services include clarifying the rights of victims, assisting in preparing Victim Impact Statements, and accompanying victims to court. Provides referrals to various community services. Provides assistance in applying for Ohio Victims of Crime Compensation Program.

Provides the following non-emergency crime prevention and community services: alcohol/drug education and prevention, security evaluations, fraud prevention, neighborhood watch, safety education, (bicycle, school, traffic); also motor vehicle noise control, commercial noise control, noise abatement, noisy neighbor control, barking dog control, and vacation security checks.

SARN offers crime victim accompaniment when a medical examination is required to gather evidence, to the police station to file a complaint, or to appear in court to give evidence.
