After experiencing interpersonal violence, you may wish to report to law enforcement authorities. SAOP can provide a trained advocate to accompany, support, and advocate for you during this process. Some individuals wish to take civil or criminal legal action after experiencing interpersonal violence. SAOP advocates can provide detailed information regarding these processes, offer accompaniment, and provide further support as the case proceeds.
Provides assistance to victims and witnesses of crimes through intervention, referrals to social service agencies, procuring compensation through appropriate state laws, and other related services.

Provides support and assistance in the hospital emergency room to victims of rape, incest, and sexual assault as well as the families of those assaulted. Volunteers meet survivors at the hospital and stay with the victim through the physical exam and the police report. Victims provided support through any interviews, medical exams, trauma and financial problems, and court proceedings (regardless of whether or not the offender is arrested or prosecuted).
Advocates can accompany survivors to court, assist with civil protection orders, and help survivors navigate the legal system.

The Prosecutor's office offers victim-of-crime services through a victim advocate.
Offers crime victim notification services that informs the victim of the release or escape of the offender who perpetrated the crime.
Provides a central point of intake for those who need services from multiple agencies that offer services for victims of violent crime. Goal is to help the victim avoid the extra stress of traveling to several locations for different types of assistance. Victim advocates help with protection orders, communication with the police or prosecutors, and access to counseling, among other supportive services.
Allows crime victims to register for information about criminal cases and the custody status of incarcerated offenders. Victims and other concerned citizens can register to be notified by phone, email, text message (SMS) or TTY device when an incarcerated offender is released from custody or is transferred to another facility.
