Access the Ohio Department of Job and Family's website, www.jfs.ohio.gov/fraud, to report suspected fraud related to: * SNAP Retailers and/or Recipients * Medicaid Providers and/or Recipients * OWF Recipients * Child Care Providers and/or Recipients Referrals received through the site will be screened and forwarded to the appropriate county agency for further investigation. The Bureau of Program Integrity Fraud Control Unit will follow up on these referrals to ensure that research has been completed and claims are established, when appropriate, within the timeframes specified by law.

Investigates suspected food stamp fraud of grocery store vendors and others. Does not handle complaints about food stamp cards. Does not accept applications for food stamps.
Investigates Public Assistance cases where fraud is suspected. Investigations are conducted to ensure that Public Assistance benefits are received by only those individuals who are eligible and that they receive the correct amount.
Accepts reports of suspected welfare fraud regarding services provided by this agency such as: Ohio Works First (OWF), Food Stamps/SNAP, Medicaid, Childcare Assistance, and/or Prevention, Retention, Contingency (PRC). Can provide assistance and guidance in regard to identity theft for those who suspect that another person is fraudulently using their benefits (for example, stealing their SNAP benefits). NOTE: SNAP benefits stolen electronically before December 21st, 2024 are eligible for replacement. The customer must make the request within 90 days of the theft. Otherwise, any stolen SNAP benefits that occurred on December 21st, 2024 or after will not be replaced. Will also accept reports of other fraudulent activity such as lying on an application, selling benefits for cash, or retailer lying on an application to rejoin the SNAP program after being disqualified. Tips may be anonymous if the caller wishes.

The Fraud and Benefit Recovery Unit investigates allegations of fraud and pursues collections from the recipient of an overpayment. Depending on the severity of the fraud and overpayment, the case may be referred to the Prosecutor's office for review and possible criminal prosecution.

Empowers older adults to prevent healthcare fraud. Helps seniors become astute health care consumers by learning to identify and prevent Medicare fraud, waste and abuse. Works with consumers who suspect Medicare fraud and Medicare ID theft. Provides educational seminars to groups of all sizes. Available online or in-person. SMP also provides tips on how to report suspected fraud and offers a free smartphone app to receive notifications of scams.
Provides crime prevention and safety programs to Centerville residents in the areas of: bunco/fraud protection, property identification, child abuse prevention, juvenile delinquency prevention, commercial and residential security evaluations, child sexual assault prevention, shoplifting prevention, halloween safety, school safety, bicycle safety, vacation security checks, neighborhood watch programs, traffic safety, and child passenger safety.
