The HelpLine enables callers to talk confidentially about their situation with trained advocates and also takes reports of hate crimes based on sexual orientation and/or gender identification or expression. The HelpLine will also take reports of hate and bias violence incidents. Advocates will guide you through a simple process of information gathering about the incident and yourself. There are NO requirements - you can share the level of information that is comfortable for you. You may choose to report anonymously. All reports are kept strictly confidential. BRAVO can help you identify your options and potential courses of action. If you choose to make a police report (you are not required to do so), we can explain the procedure, go with you to police headquarters, or arrange to have the report taken at BRAVO or some other site.
