Staff are also available to do training on prevention issues for health professionals, commercial groups, schools, and community-based organizations.

Provides safety and prevention information on issues such as general crime prevention, pedestrian safety, personal safety, school safety, elder abuse prevention, violence prevention, shoplifting prevention, and fraud prevention. Offers security evaluations for businesses and vacation security checks.

Provides therapy to youth who have witnessed violence including screening, therapy, providing referrals, and follow-up. Works to prevent the short and long term negative impact on youth who witness violence.

Provides prevention education to businesses, agencies, public entities, schools and special interest groups on topics such as sexual assault, healthy relationships, technology safety, harassment, bullying and dating violence. Presentations are tailored to the audience and can range from a 1-hour presentation to a 5-day workshop.

Places gang violence intervention specialists in South and East side neighborhoods where 14-24 year-olds stand at high risk of gang involvement. Specialists constructively mediate conflict and mentor and connect youth to positive opportunities. Aims to reduce crime and gang-related violence; keeps youth safe and on-track to healthy, productive lives; encourages youth involvement in work readiness activities, academics or recreation; responds realistically and holistically to the lure of gang life.

Provides school-based behavioral health services to address anxiety, depression, and other behavior disorders. Services are a Three Tier Model-Prevention, Consultation, and Treatment for children and teens. Tiered programs include: * Tier 1-Prevention: Substance Use Prevention, School Violence Prevention, Suicide Prevention * Tier 2-Consultation: Behavioral health counseling for early identification and intervention, provided through 4-6 sessions or referral to ongoing treatment services * Tier 3-Treatment: Teen Support Groups, Crisis Intervention Services, Offsite Services, Additional Support Programs * Services are faith-based and LGBTQIA+ inclusive.

TAC is a youth-led prevention team of high school students who focus on preventing unhealthy behaviors among Knox County youth before they begin while serving as ambassadors of healthy lifestyles in their schools and communities.

Training promotes healthy alternatives to risky behavior through activities that: teach students the necessary skills to resist peer pressure to smoke, drink and use drugs; help students develop greater self-esteem and self-confidence; enable students to effectively cope with anxiety; increase knowledge of immediate consequences; enhance cognitive and behavioral competency to reduce and prevent a variety of health risk behaviors.

Provides a variety of performance arts based programming for youth. Goal is to provide cultural enrichment while encouraging the child to resist drugs and violence. All programs offer education on the following topics: drug abuse and violence resistance, postponement of sexual involvement, life skills, financial literacy, cultural awareness and diversity, and academics.

Provides a youth violence prevention program that engages young people at the highest risk of shooting or being shot. Services include court advocacy, hospital-based programs, employment opportunities, mental health services, and the deployment of credible messengers, conflict mediation, crisis response, and referrals to resources to assist with long-term stability.

Provides training to help parents and other caregivers develop effective nonviolent discipline skills. Goal is to prevent child maltreatment and to prevent or reduce children's aggression and other behavior problems. Dinner and childcare are provided.
