Offers vacation security checks, neighborhood watch programs, and security evaluations for businesses.

Upon arrival the children are given a hot nutritious meal and then they can attend: arts and crafts, swimming two times a week, playground, gym, game room, computer lab, homework study center and tutorial help. Open all school vacations days during the school year and on snow days from 9 am to 6 pm.

An aquatic/outdoors educational program that serves as a primary prevention and early intervention project for youth. The program is designed to supply activities that are alternatives to drug and alcohol use and experimentation. Also provides eduction services that address stressors such as alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs, violence, leadership skills, coping skills, and other services that negatively impact youth.

Provides a variety of safety education and crime prevention services for the City of Maple Heights. Also provides a Child Seat Inspection Team, and a Gun Lock give-away Program (1 lock free to any adult resident).

Staff are also available to do training on prevention issues for health professionals, commercial groups, schools, and community-based organizations.

Provides crime prevention and safety programs in the Miamisburg area .

Provides a program to divert youth who have committed a first offense from further patterns of activity that would lead towards increased involvement with the justice system. A social worker/case manager works with the family to determine a case plan with appropriate options. Participating youth must complete the requirements of the case plan and not re-offend within a specified time to avoid having the case sent to Juvenile Court for disposition.

Provides many non emergency crime prevention and public safety education services. Including neighborhood watch programs, security evaluations for both residential and commercial customers, D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) programs in both elementary, high schools and crime reporting hotline.

Throughout the year the Children’s Services Division of the Knox County Department of Human Services sponsors parenting sessions for children of all ages. There is also a teen specific group to assist teens in the handling of certain issues including; dealing with authority, self-esteem, and setting consequences for actions taken, and a variety of other problems and circumstances that teens face on a daily basis.
