Offers a variety of law enforcement and crime prevention education services for the City of Beachwood. Provides safety and prevention information on issues such as general crime prevention, pedestrian safety, personal safety, school safety, elder abuse prevention, violence prevention, shoplifting prevention, and fraud prevention. Offers security evaluations for businesses and vacation security checks.

Provides educational programs to children to promote prevention of sexual abuse of children. Provides training on recognizing and reporting child abuse and sexual assault recognition for professionals. Provides education on sexual assault prevention and dating violence prevention. Also offers bullying prevention education.

Provides training to help parents and other caregivers develop effective nonviolent discipline skills. Goal is to prevent child maltreatment and to prevent or reduce children's aggression and other behavior problems. Dinner and childcare are provided.

Provides a variety of services to assist the community in increasing individual and family wellness, through general counseling, participating in anger management, domestic violence prevention, child abuse prevention, and parent education classes, and finding resources and referrals to needed social and community services. Counseling is by a Licensed Social Worker (LISW). Classes for teen parents and fathers may also be available. Parent Cafes held several times a year. Certificates of completion may be available.

Investigation of alleged child abuse, neglect or exploitation within families or child care facilities, schools, group homes, etc. Alternative intake can also do assessments for cases of domestic violence if children are in the home and affected. Campaign specifically designed to educate bystanders on how to recognize and appropriately address the signs of family violence including child abuse, teen dating abuse, domestic violence and elder abuse. Bystanders are able to speak anonymously and confidentially with an information coordinator. This is a resource line and should not replace 911 in case of emergency or any other 24 hour emergency crisis hotline.
