Provides short term crisis counseling for crime victims and witnesses regardless of intent to pursue criminal prosecution; personal advocacy and court escort during all stages of the police investigation and criminal justice process; case status notification for felony level prosecution pending in Greene County Common Pleas Court and Greene County Juvenile Court. Confidential referrals within a large resource network, to any appropriate medical, counseling, or social service agency. Also provides assistance to persons applying for financial reimbursement through the Ohio Victims of Crime Compensation Program.

Aggressive and threatening phone calls by criminals impersonating IRS agents remain a major threat to taxpayers. The IRS reminds taxpayers to guard against all sorts of con games that arise during any filing season. Many phone scams use threats to intimidate and bully a victim into paying. They may even threaten to arrest, deport or revoke the license of their victim if they don’t get the money. Scammers often alter caller ID numbers to make it look like the IRS or another agency is calling. The callers use IRS titles and fake badge numbers to appear legitimate. They may use the victim’s name, address and other personal information to make the call sound official. Here are five things the scammers often do but the IRS will not do. Any one of these five things is a tell-tale sign of a scam. The IRS will never: - Call to demand immediate payment, nor will the agency call about taxes owed without first having mailed you a bill. - Demand that you pay taxes without giving you the opportunity to question or appeal the amount they say you owe. - Require you to use a specific payment method for your taxes, such as a prepaid debit card. - Ask for credit or debit card numbers over the phone. - Threaten to bring in local police or other law-enforcement groups to have you arrested for not paying. If you get a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS and asking for money, do not give out any information and hang up immediately. - Contact the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration to report the call. Use their “IRS Impersonation Scam Reporting” web page. You can also call 800-366-4484. - Report it to the Federal Trade Commission. Use the “FTC Complaint Assistant” on FTC.gov. The Sustainability Programs work to protect and maintain the natural environment, human health, and ecological health. It does this by working with partners such as SWACO and MORPC. These programs also minimize solid, infectious and hazardous waste in the community. Services include steps to ensure the individual's safety, short-term emotional support, information regarding the person's rights and alternatives, and referrals and/or accompaniment to resources for medical, legal and emotional needs, advocacy and other related services.

Handles reports of harmful or potentially harmful issues or events that would affect students and schools in the Parma City School District. Calls are confidential and callers may remain anonymous.

If you observe a wildlife violation, call the toll-free reporting line or visit website to submit a TIP (Turn In a Poacher) form. The TIP program is helping to curtail poaching throughout the state. TIP is designed to involve the public in reporting wildlife violations.

Hears complaints dealing with consumer issues with a business and/or their products or services. Handles complaints against doctors or attorneys only in relation to billing issues. SMP staff and volunteers educate and empower Ohio Medicare beneficiaries to recognize, avoid and report suspected Medicare fraud, waste and abuse.

Provides a phone number that anyone can use to report anonymously activities that they know or reasonably suspect to be dangerous to people or property that are part of the school district. Handles and investigates calls related to threats of harm (weapons at school, verbal threats to harm, dangerous materials, etc.) as well as reports of other criminal illegal activity (theft, drugs etc.)

Provides the following non-emergency crime prevention and community services: alcohol/drug education and prevention, security evaluations, fraud prevention, neighborhood watch, safety education, (bicycle, school, traffic); also motor vehicle noise control, commercial noise control, noise abatement, noisy neighbor control, barking dog control, and vacation security checks.

Provides law enforcement and police protection services for the City of Beachwood. Offers property identification and child fingerprinting. Maintains police records and reports and assists with filing a missing persons report.

Volunteers meet survivors at the hospital and stay with the victim through the physical exam and the police report. Volunteers bring a kit for survivor, which includes clothes.

Provides classes to educate and build community support for local policing efforts. Covered issues vary but have included Laws of Arrest, Defensive Tactics, Firearms, Canine Patrol, The Court System, Use of Force, S.W.A.T, Juvenile Court, Evidence Collection, Mock Crime Scene, Bike Patrol, Traffic Stops, Officer Safety, and Communications.

Offers outreach, education and awareness programs for all audiences to learn about human trafficking. Provides specialized training and technical assistance for human trafficking service providers. Convenes and manages NE Ohio's Anti-trafficking coalition. Provides referrals and resources for providers and victims of human trafficking.

Investigates complaints relating to nuisance wildlife, poaching and illegal activities on division properties. Operates a toll-free hotline for reporting the illegal harvest of an animal.

Offers dispatch police officers within West Carrollton city limits to the scene of a crime in progress or a police emergency incident (call 911). Dispatches police officer to the scene of incidents where citizens need non emergency assistance (call 859-3688). Investigates crimes and reports of missing persons, fingerprints arrestees, and investigates incidents of alleged police misconduct.

Provides crime prevention services and safety education activities for the City of South Euclid. Works with neighborhood groups to alleviate risks; also provides vacation security checks and security evaluations to determine whether or not homes are secure.

Clark County residents may call the Sheriff's Office to have their residence placed on a vacation house check. The Uniform Patrol Deputies on shifts will perform the checks.

Provides education and awareness programs designed to prevent the onset of teen dating violence, sexual assault, alcohol and other drug problems.

Takes reports, investigates, and enforces violations of federal firearms, alcohol, and tobacco control laws. May also report observed gang activities, vendor violations of alcohol, tobacco, and firearms licensing laws. Will also investigate reports of violations of laws covering explosives and explosive devices.
