Provides general crime prevention, safety information, child passenger safety for the Village of Bentleyville. Offers vacation security checks of residents' homes.

Investigates health-related nuisance conditions including sewage, water systems, tires, food, solid waste, rodents, animal manure and insects. Writes correction orders with a compliance deadline to the involved parties and contacts County Prosecutor's office when corrections are not made.

Dispatches officers to the scene of a crime in progress or a police emergency incident (call 911).

NCS provides a safe school helpline for students to call, anonymously, to report incidents/experiences regarding bullying, suicide threats, school threats, violence, weapons, theft/property damage, sexual harassment, alcohol and other drug use, and gang activity. Information will be taken and trained phone staff will contact the designated personnel with NCS for immediate follow up. Students who call the hotline will be given an ID number for them to use if they want to call back later to give more information or check the status of the issue they reported.

Provides investigation of all types of consumer scams, along with one on one assistance to support residents who lose money or info to scams. Will attempt dispute resolution, including mediation with the parties (consumer and business), including debt collection abuses, home repair companies auto sales and car repairs, store pricing, appliance warranty issues, and other complaints related to specific business interactions with consumers. The agency can/will refer a complaint or a violation to the county prosecutor, Ohio attorney general, Federal Trade Commission, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, or other appropriate agencies with jurisdiction over the complaint. May also enforce violations through civil actions.

Elected position established by City Charter. Head of the Law Department which represents and advises the City in all civil, criminal and administrative law matters; prosecutes criminal cases in the Mansfield Municipal Court; and performs such other duties as may be required by the laws of Ohio, City Charter, ordinances, and at the direction of the Mayor and City Council. Civil Division prepares all contracts, leases and other instruments on behalf of the City and endorses on each his approval of the form and correctness thereof. Offers notification by email whenever an offender registers within one mile of a specified address. Handles complaints against sexual offenders.

The program offers accompaniment to court proceedings while providing support throughout the criminal justice process

Provides confidential counseling with a mental health professional for victims of domestic violence. Offers counseling for children who have witnessed or experienced some type of abuse or violence. Provides family therapy and parent education focused on helping the household to recover from past abuse, violence, or other traumatic events. Seeks also to prevent abuse within families who may be at risk due to a variety of stressors including: large family size, teenage single parenting, financial problems, drug problems, special needs children, etc. Teaches how to deal with child and parent anger issues, to handle conflicts and manage stress, to recognize cues from children and address their needs, to administer reward and punishment, and to build better communication among family members.

Provides a variety of crime prevention and safety education services for the City of Garfield Heights. Does not have many specific programs, but does offer individual workshops/seminars on a wide variety of specific topics as requested.

Provides a periodic program which photographs and fingerprints children for identification purposes. Also takes a DNA sample. The results are compiled into a booklet which is given to the parents for their records.

Conducts interior and exterior housing complaint inspections regarding issues like trash accumulation, water infiltration, pest infestations, lack of proper utilities, and structural issues.

Provide Crisis Intervention and Suicide Prevention services to Mahoning, Columbiana, Trumbull and Ashtabula Counties; 24/7 2-1-1 Information and Referral access for Columbiana, Mahoning, and Trumbull Counties and after hours for Ashtabula and Lake Counties; after hours link to various agencies in Mahoning, Columbiana, Trumbull and Ashtabula Counties; support groups for Survivors of Suicide; Senior Line; housing assistance and payee programs; Intensive Guardian Program; Recovery Services (Mahoning and Trumbull counties); Victim's Assistance; Community Center (Mahoning and Columbiana Counties); Special Navigator for Families with Special Needs.

Offers intervention for youth who are firestarters or are believed to be firestarters. Seeks to prevent future fires by helping youth to understand their actions.

Offers advocacy and services to victims or witnesses of crimes committed in Medina County including the following: - Crisis counseling. - Community referrals. - Hospital and court advocacy. - Assistance in completing victim impact statements. - Offers transportation to social service agencies, shelters or court appearances if necessary.

Provides a wide range of programs for children who are victims of abuse or other acts of violence. Services include the following: forensic interviews at a child-friendly site where professionals conduct joint investigative interviews with child victims, crisis counseling and case management for victims and non-offending family members (available to children and families at all stages of the investigation and prosecution process). The program helps children and families cope and heal emotionally, animal-assisted therapy support for victims of violence. Provides practical information and support to the children and family about the investigation and court process, safety education that teaches young children about safe and unsafe touches and ways to seek help from trusted adults, and also provides on-site medical exams.

Provides an anonymous school safety tip line that helps proactively to ensure the safety and well-being of students. The tip line allows students, parents, teachers, administrators or members of the community to share information regarding threats to school or student safety, such as bullying, suicide, harassment or violence, with district and law enforcement officials.

Provides a variety of safety education and crime prevention services for the City of Maple Heights. Also provides a Child Seat Inspection Team, and a Gun Lock give-away Program (1 lock free to any adult resident).

Offers a hotline to anonymously report drug-related activity.
