County prosecuting attorney is the county's chief criminal and civil representative in court and prosecutes criminals in the name of the state. The Prosecuting Attorney is legal advisor to all county officials and county boards

Represents the State of Ohio by inquiring into and prosecuting felony crimes committed by adults and all offenses committed by juveniles. Also acts as legal counsel for county officials, county agencies, townships and various boards.
The office prosecutes adult felony crimes and juvenile crimes (felony, misdemeanor, traffic), serves as legal counsel for the Miami County Children's Services Board and prosecutes cases of child dependency, abuse, and neglect, enforces collection of delinquent real estate taxes, and represents all Miami County Government Offices, Township Offices, Public School Boards, and Public Libraries in legal matters. The Office houses the Victim Witness Advocate Program.

Duties of the County Prosecutor include: - Prosecute Felony and Misdemeanor Crime - Work with all law enforcement agencies in the County - Advocates for victims of crime - Represent Job and Family Services – CSEA and Children Services - Represent Elected Officials – Commissioners (3), Clerk of Courts, Recorder, Auditor, Treasurer, Sheriff, Engineer - Represent County Boards – Board of Elections, Developmental Disabilities, General Health District, Joint Ambulance Board, District Advisory Commission for the General Health District, County Fair Board - Serve on Budget Commission and Data Processing Board - Represent Township Trustees (3 per each of the 16 townships) and Fiscal Officers - Represent the County Treasurer in every foreclosure filed in the County - Represent the County in the collection of overdue real estate taxes.
Acts as the prosecutor representing the State of Ohio in cases involving felony crimes and juvenile offenses in Greene County. Also assists in the collection of delinquent child support and real estate taxes.

Voluntary service open to all citizens with special needs who reside in Mahoning County. The registry was created to help police officers and other emergency service personnel assist residents with special needs in the event of an emergency by providing those first responders with information regarding a registrant’s special needs, emergency contact information, physical description and current photography.
Responsible for prosecuting and litigating cases within the Criminal, Juvenile and Civil Divisions, as well as Children's Services. Agency also provides Victim's Services through the Victim's Assistance Coordinator.
Responsible for the prosecution of all adult and juvenile felony crimes committed in Richland County. Civil division is responsible for all county civil litigation and the collection of delinquent real estate taxes. Includes a specialized Victim Services division that helps all felony crime victims navigate through the judicial system. Also responsible for assisting felony victims of crime with compensation for losses, notice of court hearings, referrals to services and counseling, attendance in court to represent their interests and protect their rights.

Prosecuting Attorney's Office is comprised of three separate and distinct divisions: Adult Felony Division - prosecutes adults who are charged with committing any felony in violation of a State statute, as well as juveniles who may be bound over to be prosecuted as an adult. The types of crimes prosecuted by this division include; robbery, burglary, felonious assault, domestic violence, drug offenses, forgery and fraud, white collar crimes, arson, child physical and sexual abuse, sexual assault, and homicides. Juvenile Division - prosecutes juvenile offenders who commit any form of crime in Licking County, whether felony or misdemeanor, and regardless of whether the violation is of a State statute, or municipal ordinance. In addition, the Juvenile Division represents the State in those cases where it is necessary to take some form of protective custody of children due to the inability of a parent to provide for the needs of a child, or worse, cases of neglect or abuse. Civil Division - serves as legal counsel for most County office-holders and departments, as well as the twenty-five Township governments in Licking County. In addition, the Civil Division represents some of the many school districts in Licking County. This Division must be prepared to give their clients advice on many issues such as: open meetings, public records, annexations, zoning, competitive bidding, contracts, and public employment to name a few.
