Provides formal supervision for those awaiting trial or on community control (probation) as ordered by the court. Supervises probationers and monitors compliance to the conditions of their probation as well as providing other services such as referrals for social services. Specialized probation services provided for those needing intensive supervision such as those who are mentally disordered offenders, mentally retarded offenders, and sex offenders. Places offenders into drug treatment when needed. Provides case management for those in drug treatment and acts as a liaison between the court, client, and treatment facility. Also supervises persons in the work release and home detention programs.

Supervises offenders who remain in the community under the jurisdiction of the Elyria Municipal Court. Conducts pre-sentence investigations to assist the judges in the determination of appropriate sentences. Administers alternative sentencing programs to supplement traditional penalties including voluntary community service. Oversees restitution to victims of crimes.

Provides a probation supervision program that utilizes trained professionals to monitor convicted offenders who are placed on community supervision through the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas; probation officers connect offenders to services within the community to reduce the overall likelihood of recidivism

Works with youth and their families to make sure they are in compliance with all court orders. Juveniles personally sign documentation outlining probation rules; are subject to drug screenings; and are required to make mandated evening office visits the first Tuesday of every month accompanied by their legal guardian for a probation review. In addition, probation officers often check in with youth at school and/or at home.

Monitor and enforce Court orders of youth who are officially involved with the Court. All youth placed on probation are given specific court orders tailored to the youth and to the offenders. Offers a variety of services to children under the court's jurisdiction. These include probation supervision and counseling, foster care placement, referrals for drug treatment, alternatives to school suspension, unofficial cases, and community service work for restitution.

Handles adult probation for the Medina Municipal Court. Serves individuals with traffic or misdemeanors offenses. Authors pre-sentencing reports after interviewing those convicted in court. Provides monitoring of probationers at various levels ranging from non-reporting to intensive supervision.

Offers a program to offer Veterans with the transition to civilian life that deals with traumas, both physical and mental, which could lead to their involvement with the criminal justice system. Provides Veterans access to programs, treatment, and interaction with mentors. Coordinates with the Summit County Fatherhood Initiative to address barriers that may be preventing them from connection with their children.

Licking County Adult Court Services Department is to assure public safety by supervising offenders placed on community control for felony crimes as well as supervising people awaiting Court actions for criminal indictments. By providing effective correctional interventions to criminal offenders, the Licking County community is safer as offenders become law-abiding. Specialized services include Chemical Dependency Supervision, Sexual Offender Supervision, Mental Health Supervision, Diversion, Basic Supervision, Community Transition Supervision, and Child Support Enforcement supervision.
