Offers a program to offer Veterans with the transition to civilian life that deals with traumas, both physical and mental, which could lead to their involvement with the criminal justice system. Provides Veterans access to programs, treatment, and interaction with mentors. Coordinates with the Summit County Fatherhood Initiative to address barriers that may be preventing them from connection with their children.

Provides alternative sentencing options for people convicted of misdemeanors and/or ordinance violations. Supervises adult probation and restitution orders.

In some cases, may arrange for community service when mandated by the court; in cases where the community service is not arranged, will provide information on how to fullfill those requirements.

The individual must agree to standards of conduct specified by the court for a set amount of time. Violations of the agreement can subject the individual to additional sanctions.

Provides formal supervision for those awaiting trial or on community control (probation) as ordered by the court. Supervises probationers and monitors compliance to the conditions of their probation as well as providing other services such as referrals for social services. Specialized probation services provided for those needing intensive supervision such as those who are mentally disordered offenders, mentally retarded offenders, and sex offenders. Places offenders into drug treatment when needed. Provides case management for those in drug treatment and acts as a liaison between the court, client, and treatment facility. Also supervises persons in the work release and home detention programs.

Provides supervision, treatment, and rehabilitation of the offender, while balancing the goal of protecting the public’s safety; and providing compliance with the orders of the Court.

Works with youth and their families to make sure they are in compliance with all court orders. Juveniles personally sign documentation outlining probation rules; are subject to drug screenings; and are required to make mandated evening office visits the first Tuesday of every month accompanied by their legal guardian for a probation review. In addition, probation officers often check in with youth at school and/or at home.

Supervises and monitors any order of the court, which may include alcohol/drug treatment, AA meetings, drug testing, community service, restitution and psychological counseling.

Monitor and enforce Court orders of youth who are officially involved with the Court. All youth placed on probation are given specific court orders tailored to the youth and to the offenders. The Officer is charged with monitoring these Court orders, assessing the youth, and formulation a plan to assist the youth in his or her rehabilitation as a youthful offender.

The purpose is to restore the offending youth to community living and reduce juvenile offenses through supervision, support and alternative consequences to offenders who have been adjudicated or found unruly/delinquent.

Oversees all persons placed on probation as the result of criminal and/or traffic convictions. Defendants may also be evaluated for one of the Court's Specialized Dockets: Recovery Court or Mental Health Court.
