The purpose is to restore the offending youth to community living and reduce juvenile offenses through supervision, support and alternative consequences to offenders who have been adjudicated or found unruly/delinquent.

Provides services to unruly youth and their parents/families. The mission of the program is to divert youth from official court proceedings by empowering parents and assisting youth with developing improved social skills. Addresses child's unruly behavior is addressed at an early stage, by providing prevention, intervention and skill building services with the youth and their parents and families. By addressing the unruly conduct quickly, further Juvenile Court intervention is less likely.

Works in conjunction with participating communities to offer youth an opportunity to perform community service or other sanction and have their record cleared instead of appearing in juvenile court for their offense. A conference is held with the youth, youth's parents or legal guardian, and a magistrate. Once a sanction is set, generally community service, the city oversees the youth to insure compliance to terms. After youth completes the sanction, he/she is placed on inactive probation.

Provides supervision of adult paroled offenders and of compliance of adults with court ordered restitution.

Provides probation for youth who are found to be delinquent but are not placed in a residential facility. Offers probationers case management and referrals to needed supportive services such as drug treatment and mental health services. Makes investigations in order to prepare dispositional reports. Arranges for community service when mandated by the court.

Provides for the close surveillance and control of offenders released into the community but still under the jurisdiction of the criminal justice system.

Provides supervision and support for adult probation, oversees compliance with correctional restitution orders, and conducts court referral programs in Lakewood.

Provides an alternative sentencing option for offenders that requires them to wear an electronic monitoring device and restricts them to their homes. Some instances like work, church, or medical care, may allow them to leave for short periods of time.

Provides supervision of youth ages 10 to 17 years old and are placed on court-ordered probation.

Provides supervision of adults placed on probation by the Rocky River Municipal Court.

Provides community work to seniors who are unable to do yard work. Work provided through the formal supervision of individuals who are first time non-violent offenders given a suspended sentence which may include a reduced term in county jail and fines.

Provides comprehensive programming for offenders on felony probation. Offers the Common Pleas Courts of Lorain and Medina counties with an economical, local alternative to state prison commitments for male and female adult felony offenders. Provides a wide range of programming addressing offender needs such as chemical dependency, education, employment, and family relationships.

Provides supportive services for individuals younger than age 18 who have committed a minor offense and are directed to participate in a diversion program as an alternative to arrest, prosecution or, in some cases, sentencing for the offense. Assesses the individual's needs and coordinates the delivery of the necessary services.

Program is for individuals addicted to opioids such as heroin, morphine, or prescription medications. All clients are required to undergo random urine drug screen and participate in intensive counseling sessions and other recovery activities.

Supervises offenders who remain in the community under the jurisdiction of the Elyria Municipal Court. Conducts pre-sentence investigations to assist the judges in the determination of appropriate sentences. Administers alternative sentencing programs to supplement traditional penalties including voluntary community service. Oversees restitution to victims of crimes.

Provides parole supervision for youth who have been released from department facility. Services include enforcing rules of parole, involvement of youth in activities that create an awareness of the consequences of their behavior, developing competency in youth that enable them to be more capable of productive participation in society, and monitoring graduated sanctions if parole is violated.

Provides for the formal supervision of individuals who have been convicted of a crime and given a suspended sentence which releases them into the community under specific conditions which may include a reduced term in county jail, fines, restitution to the victim, community work, counseling, "good conduct" and other stipulations.

Accept estate donations and vehicle or property donations.

Provides an alternative to prosecution for adult offenders. Holds the offender accountable for their actions and assists them in learning new ways to deal with the issues that lead to their offense.

Oversees all persons placed on probation as the result of criminal and/or traffic convictions. Defendants may also be evaluated for one of the Court's Specialized Dockets: Recovery Court or Mental Health Court.

Provides supervision services to those placed on parole (release from prison before sentence expires), post-release control (supervision after sentence is over and individual is released from prison) and in certain areas where probation services are lacking or minimal, community control (sentence imposed by court in lieu of incarceration).

Court ordered diversion program for misdemeanor or felony offenders. Focuses on creating life goals on issues that contributed to the crime, such as financial balance. Covers three program options determined by the courts: - Pre-trial diversion. - First time offender, and - Treatment in lieu of conviction. Services for current and new clients are available through telehealth, by phone, or in person. If program is completed successfully, charges may be dismissed. Referrals for mental health, chemical dependency, or vocational services provided as necessary.

Uses electronic technology including transmitters and receivers, telephone verification systems, and other location and individual identification equipment to monitor and track offenders while they continue in substance abuse treatment, education, vocational employment, and/or mental health counseling.

Offers a variety of services to children under the court's jurisdiction. These include probation supervision and counseling, foster care placement, referrals for drug treatment, alternatives to school suspension, unofficial cases, and community service work for restitution.

Provides formal supervision for those awaiting trial or on community control (probation) as ordered by the court. Supervises probationers and monitors compliance to the conditions of their probation as well as providing other services such as referrals for social services. Specialized probation services provided for those needing intensive supervision such as those who are mentally disordered offenders, mentally retarded offenders, and sex offenders. Places offenders into drug treatment when needed. Provides case management for those in drug treatment and acts as a liaison between the court, client, and treatment facility. Also supervises persons in the work release and home detention programs.
