Agency provides housing counselors certified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Service includes developing a plan for reinstatement by lenders, modifying mortgage loan documents, negotiating agreements with lenders, and helping with finding mortgage relief programs.

Counseling is also available for people who have become delinquent on their mortgage payments or who fear they may become delinquent. This agency will work with lenders to negotiate payment arrangements.

Provides career and college counseling and financial aid assistance to those seeking help to begin or go back to college or post-secondary programs such as vocational schools or training programs. Counseling is given regarding career options and interests, colleges, the admission process, financial aid, the completion of forms, and scholarship searches. Offers financial assistance provided through three types of scholarships. Can counsel individuals on student loan debt and help find the best option to help pay the debt, such as Income Based Repayment plans, loan forgiveness options, and/or consolidation options. Will help with applications for those options. Note: Does not provide direct financial assistance.

Assists homeowners who are seeking to refinance or borrow against the equity in their homes for the purpose of making home repairs, improvements or consolidate debt. Provides callers with general information on common loan terms, information on closing costs and how to compare various loan programs to determine a true cost. Educates borrowers so that they will not become victims of predatory lending practices.

Offers classes on a variety of topics including budgeting, saving, improving credit, workforce literacy (prejob guidance, life skills, etc.) computer training and preparing for home ownership. One on one counseling in these areas is also available upon request.

Financial management is designed to teach participants to take control of their finances to secure economic stability through education about family budgeting, savings, and behaviors that affect financial stabilty.

Provides assistance with purchasing a home, including a homebuying workshop that includes information on the process of homebuying, explanation of duties involved in home ownership, review of sale agreements and loan documents and referral to programs that provide loans for purchase or renovation of a home. Agency provides housing counselors certified by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Following completion of the workshop, participants receive 1-on-1 homebuying counseling.
