Provide birth certificates for anyone born in Ohio and death certificates for Mahoning County residents; group home, rest home and nursing home inspections and licensure program; food and sanitary inspections; information on AIDS and free distribution on safer sex products; well child/infant immunizations and adult immunizations; reproductive health and wellness clinic; sexually transmitted infection clinic; rodent and mosquito control program.

Pantry may have personal care items for grooming and cleaning available. Call first to verify availability. *Only one adult may shop for the family, no children are allowed in the shopping area *Clients may visit the pantry once a week

Daily Needs Assistance provides a friendly environment to shop for used children's clothes. In addition to clothes, shoes, belts, hats, and purses the Kids Kloset keeps a supply of blankets and sheets, especially during the winter months. Clothing available from infant through large teen.

Provides food assistance to those who need it. May also provide hygiene items (personal grooming supplies).

Provides aid to families in the form of a voucher to buy items or pay for emergency services related to establishing a household (coming out of homelessness or moving into a new unit) and which cannot be addressed using existing community resources. MAY BE USED FOR: stoves and refrigerators (maximum $200); baby furniture; children's beds/mattresses; general furniture (limited to: couch, love seat, living room chairs, kitchen table, bedroom dresser (up to $125); washer and/or dryer (only if integral to the applicant's employment); and microwave oven (maximum of $400 per item), and children's clothing (up to $150 per child). MAY NOT BE USED FOR: entertainment furniture (such as a TV or a radio), mortgage payments. YEARLY CASH LIMITS: $1,500 total during the calendar year (may be $750 for certain non-custodial parents).

Provides daytime shelter for homeless individuals, free meals, weekly health care, shower program, a hot breakfast one day a week and a continential breakfast the remaining weekdays.

Provides diapers to those in need.

Trulight Ministries opens every evening at 7pm. Anyone is welcome to come in and get warm. They will provide coffee and snacks (sometimes a meal is provided by a neighboring church). At 9:20pm, they will transport those who want to go to the overnight shelter to sleep. They will take them by bus or van to Hallowed Hills Campground. There are separate men's and women's sleeping areas, and bedding will be provided. They will be woken up at 7:30pm to be driven back to Trulight Ministries. Breakfast will be served from 8:00am-9:30am.

Sells at low cost a variety of items (clothing, household goods, furniture, books, etc.) which have been donated to Goodwill Industries. Proceeds from sales benefit Goodwill's rehabilitation programs for the handicapped. Accepts donated items which are in good clean usable condition. Items may be dropped off during store hours.

The Food Pantry provides personal items.

Operates two (2) monthly bulk food distribution sites for Portage County residents. Offers government surplus food. Provides delivery to homebound individuals. Offers cleaning supplies and personal grooming supplies. - Note: Limited supply of diapers available.

Clothing Ministry offers free clothes the second Tuesday of every month.

Provides a free clothing store for individuals and families in need.

Providing blankets, toothbrushes, and other supplies.

Provides aid to families in the form of a voucher to buy items or pay for services that are emergencies and non-recurring (a situation not extending beyond 4 months) and which cannot be addressed using existing community resources. Assistance is provided only for items that are essential for the applicant's employment, job training, or education such as: car repairs (does not cover normal "wear and tear" items such as oil change, tires, brake pads); work clothing and uniforms, washer or dryer (only if needed for work purposes), and education related equipment (such as tools). Maximum assistance limits (once per calendar year): $500 for education-related equipment, $225 for work or education uniforms, $750 for car repairs (additional restrictions also apply). In addition to these specific limits, applicant cannot exceed yearly limit of $1,500 in aid from the overall PRC program ($750 if non-custodial guardian). Does not help with short term transportation needs such as gas cards or bus fare. Does not help with GED testing fees.

Offers free back to school supplies and services. Breakfast and Lunch will be served.

Provides assistance, advocacy and problem solving for individuals who are in a crisis situation/need for items such as: utilities, food, diapers, formula, prescriptions, toiletries, and cleaning supplies.
