The application can be completed on-line via the PMHA website. Applicants should make sure their address is correct on the online pre-application and if it isn't, contact PMHA to correct it. The application is in PDF format. You must have Adobe Acrobat installed on your computer in order for the application to print properly. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat, go to the Adobe website to download and install it. This is a free download. Read instructions completely. After submitting the application to PMHA, a letter with your application date will be sent to you. MAKE SURE YOU SAVE THIS LETTER! It shows proof of activity on the waiting list.

Administers subsidized rental program for low-income residents and provides assistance in the form of vouchers that allow income-eligible families to find and lease approved privately owned housing where the landlord has agreed to enter into a contract with the housing authority. Eligible applicants who are selected from the waiting list pay 30 to 40% of adjusted gross family income in rent and the subsidy makes up the balance of market rent. The subsidy moves with participants and it can be used in any unit in the private market which passes a Tuscarawas Metropolitan Housing Authority (TMHA) inspection, as long as participants remain eligible and the landlord agrees to participate in the program.
