The Housing Choice Voucher Program (HCVP) provides rental assistance to very low income families, allowing them the opportunity to live in decent, safe, and affordable housing. HCV Programs are funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and administered by public housing agencies throughout the country. Provides rental assistance to low-income persons and families throughout Richland and Ashland Counties. **Effective Sun, Jan 1, 2023 at 12 am. Mansfield Metropolitan Housing Authority, City of Mansfield will close the Housing Choice Voucher waiting list until further notice in accordance with CFR 982.206.

Application for Housing Assistance can be made electronically or are available for printing on their website. Please apply online or print it and complete it in your own handwriting. Make sure all questions and sections are completed and anything that does not apply to you is marked “N/A”. Incomplete applications will not placed on the waiting list. The application can be completed on-line via the PMHA website. Applicants should make sure their address is correct on the online pre-application and if it isn't, contact PMHA to correct it. There may be a special enrollment process for this program when there is a long waiting list. Residents have access to the Resident Services Department that can connect them to resources such as youth programs, mobile food pantries, events and personal enrichment activies as well as fitness activities. Accepts requests and handles issues relating to accessibility in public housing properties that this agency maintains and operates.
