Provides financial assistance to eligible individuals who are residing in a qualified assisted living facility or are living in a nursing facility and would like to transfer to a qualified assisted living facility.

Provides financial assistance to adults with low incomes who have a disability that is not severe enough to require long-term care at a skilled nursing facility, nursing home, or hospital. Individuals use RSS to supplement income, to pay the monthly allowable fee, rent, or accomodations, supervision, and personal care services at approved living arrangements in the community. Individuals use the supplement along with their Social Security, SSI, and/or SSD income.

Assisted living typically offers assistance with activities of daily living and ensures residents have access to staff 24 hours a day. The Assisted Living Waiver program is one of the long-term care options available statewide to Medicaid recipients and offers an alternative to nursing facility placement.
Provides financial assistance to adults with low incomes who have a disability that is not severe enough to require long-term care at a nursing home or hospital. Individuals use Residential State Supplement (RSS) to supplement income, to pay the monthly allowable fee (or "rent") for accommodations, supervision, and personal care services at approved living arrangements in the community. Individuals use the supplement along with their Social Security, SSI, and/or SSDI.
Provides funds to cover the cost of care in an assisted living center for those who meet eligibility and require a residential setting but not the services of a nursing home. (Does not cover medication, co-pays, or services such as a visiting nurse.) Assisted living facilities must have agreed to accept this reimbursement, and must be certified by this agency. Participants pay standard room and board costs.
