Offers a grant funded meal delivery program for individuals overwhelmed with medical appointments or who are dealing with chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or dialysis.

Our Meals for Families program is one of the Birth Circle’s greatest success stories. Postpartum families who desire to have help in the form of free meals may sign up with us sometime during their pregnancy. After the baby arrives, the mom or her partner notifies the coordinator, who then organizes the meals, which are prepared and delivered by Birth Circle volunteers. If you are going through another type of transition in your family, or have experienced a loss, The Birth Circle is more than happy to organize a meal calendar to help support you as well.

Provides meals to plan participants who have been recently discharged from the hospital, enrolled in plan diabetes program, or pregnant and post-delivery members and families.

Provides hot meals delivered to the home for eligible individuals. All meals are suitable for a mildly sodium-restricted diet, and diabetic diets can be accommodated with advance arrangement.

Prepares and delivers regular meals to older adults who are unable to shop and/or prepare the food for themselves or travel to a site where a meal is being served. Offers low fat, low salt and diabetic-friendly options.

Seeks to help older adults remain in an independent living situation by offering supportive services including on-site hot meals and home delivered meals. Clients can choose to have one or more of these services. Diabetic diets can be accommodated for home delivered meals with prior arrangement.

-Home Delivered meals to residents 60 years and older living in eastern Knox county--East Knox and Danville school district. Meals prepared in the licensed kitchen of Danville United Methodist Church.

Home delivered meals offer many homebound older adults a sense of connection to the outside world. Meal deliverers check on the welfare of the homebound and often become friends. They are trained to report any health or other problems they may notice during their visits. The home delivered meal program also works to improve the nutrition of homebound older adults. All meals provide at least one-third of the government's daily-recommended dietary allowances. Five meals will be delivered each week for six weeks.

Meals on wheels program that delivers meals to homebound Seniors throughout the county. Meals are provided at lunch time during weekdays. All meals are low in sodium and diabetic meals are also available. Special diet meals may be prepared if doctor's orders are provided. Frozen weekend and holiday meals can also be provided.

Provides a Medicaid-funded program that offers home health care and services coordination. Services include personal care, homemaking, emergency response system, home-delivered meals, adult day services, medical transportation, counseling services, medical equipment and supplies, and long-term care planning.

Provides home delivered hot meals. Can accommodate diabetic, low-salt, and other special diets.

Provides case management and coordination of needed home care services in the following areas: medical transportation, emergency response system, personal care, homemaker services, home delivered meals, and chore services, including laundry service. Services can be requested individually or combined. Can provide limited home bathroom modifications for safety. Does not include skilled nursing services. When program is full, assists those on waiting list to find needed services in the community. Chore services and limited bathroom modifications cannot be assessed without using other services.

Prepares and delivers hot meals to people age 60 and over who are unable to provide adequate meals for themselves.
