Lunches are served Monday-Friday to Muskingum County residents 55 and older at the nutrition site in the James Singer Activity Center. Lunches are provided by Christ’s Table. Donations are appreciated and go back to Christ’s Table. Our focus is on keeping Muskingum County seniors happy, safe, and healthy. In order to meet that goal a variety of activities are available every week: - Bingo - Euchre - Health Department nurses come in to do well-checks - Muskingum Behavioral Health comes in to do WISE (wellness initiative for senior education) - Bowling - Transportation to grocery stores, Job & Family Services, the cable company, etc. - Chair Volleyball - Crafts - An open gym for walking - Movie days - Potlucks - Holiday celebrations - Senior support services

Provides a hot lunch 5 days a week.
Plans, coordinates, and develops services for older adults. Provides funds by contracting with organizations that provide direct services to older adults and people under 60 with a disability. Monitors contracted providers and advocates for needs of older adults. Programs include: Senior Community Services, Family Caregiver Support, Passport, Assisted Living Waiver, Ohio Home Care Waiver, Specialized Recovery Services, Senior Farmer's Market Program, Wellness Programs, Long-term Care Ombudsman.

Provides weekday hot meals for older adults.
Home delivered meals are available for anyone 60 years or older who is homebound by reason of illness, incapacitating disability or is otherwise isolated. One must be physically unable to obtain food or prepare meals and there can be no adult living at the same residence that is willing to prepare meals. An individual who resides at home with an individual who is determined eligible may also receive a home delivered meal. Meals are delivered throughout most of Hocking, Athens, and Perry Counties.
Multi-purpose Senior Center providing on-site meals, crafts and recreational programs, provideshome delivered meals for homebound, transportation to on-site meals, shopping, medical and recreational group trips grocery/prescription delivery, telephone reassurance which makes daily contact with homebound, provides people-to-people contact, and coordinates other needed services, provides PAS Prescription Assistance for Seniors and Golden Buckeye Card applications.

COVID-19 Temporary Message: Country Neighbor will temporarily suspend the congregate meal services and programming activities in both Andover and Orwell. The offices will remain open for other services.

COVID-19 Temporary Message: Country Neighbor will do grocery shopping for seniors 60+ who live in South County Ashtabula. You would still have to pay for your groceries, but they will do the shopping and delivery for you. Those interested should call them and ask for Gale.
