CORNERSTONE OF HOPE - MID-OHIO TRAUMATIC LOSS RESPONSE TEAM - VOLUNTEER OPPORTUINITIES | CORNERSTONE OF HOPE

The Mid-Ohio Traumatic Loss Response Team offers multiple volunteer opportunities, to ensure that support is available: volunteer advocates offer support as soon as possible after the event, peer support volunteers with lived experience meet with survivors, an annual memorial event is held, volunteers are provided opportunities to educate volunteers and community members on grief and loss, bereavement specialists offer a safe place for survivors to connecrt with other survivors. This program will train peer mentors to provide support and companionship to people immediately after the loss of a loved one to suicide or accidental overdose. Research shows that postvention services decrease trauma responses and aides in the healing process. Opportunites include On call support Peer Support Follow up calls Community Outreach Data Management Administrative Support First responderTraining is provided; no previous experience is required.
