Ohio
Provides a copy of a shut off notice to a third-party (such as a relative, neighbor, or friend) in addition to the shut off notification sent to the primary account holder. Also, a landlord may request to be notified when tenant's utilities are going to be shut off. The notification will not stop a shut-off, but it will alert the third party that the account has fallen into nonpayment. The third party is under no obligation to pay the bill.
