Summer Crisis Program - Heap | Impact Community Action
This HEAP program helps to secure seasonal heating and cooling energy needs. Provides electric bill payment assistance to qualified households that have persons 60 and over or those with medical conditions that require electric service. The maximum amount for bill payment assistance is $500 for regulated utilites and $800 for unregulated (usually government such as the City of Columbus). Also provides window air conditioners to qualifying individuals. Also can pay up to $500 to repair central A/C units of homeowners as long as there is no outstanding payment on the electric bill. Must be repaired by a state certified vendor.

Eligibility
Cannot be enrolled in PIPP Plus. Applicant must be a US citizen or legal resident. All services serve Franklin County with income levels at either up to 80% AMI or 175% FPL; and Customers must meet one of the following criteria: Have a household member who is sixty or older or have a household member with a medical condition that requires electric service.
