Provides Ohio state identification cards with a photo to verify identity and residency. Two card types are available: compliant cards, which meet federal REAL ID requirements for air travel, and standard cards, which are not accepted for domestic air travel as of May 7, 2025. Individuals may not hold both a state identification card and a driver’s license. Cards are valid for eight years and expire on the holder’s birthday.
