Eligibility
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
  • Have a household income that is at or below 135% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines
  • Receive, or have a child/dependent who receives benefits from Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Medicaid, Federal Public Housing Assistance, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), or the Veterans and Survivors Pension Benefit.

Note: Lifeline benefits are limited to one per household.

Application process
  1. Application required. Applications may be submitted online
  2. Within 90 days of qualifying, applicants must choose a local internet company that is a participating provider and sign up for service with them, or request their current internet company apply the Lifeline benefit to the service the household is already receiving.

Provides eligible households with a monthly discount on qualifying internet service received from a participating provider. Eligible households can receive a discount of up to $9.25 per month.
