Diabetes Prevention | Ymca Of Ross County

Provides a series of classes in 25 sessions that show participants how to prevent and/or manage diabetes and pre-diabetes. enable adults to make lifestyle changes that will improve their overall health and reduce their risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The program is supported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Diabetes Prevention and Control Alliance, and other national organizations. Topics covered include nutrition, getting started with physical activity, overcoming stress, and staying motivated.

None. Participants do not have to be members of the YMCA.

Serves residents of Ross and Vinton counties who have been diagnosed with diabetes or pre-diabetes. If interested, discuss the program with a primary care provider.
