Eligibility

Veterans and their Dependents, and surviving spouses of deceased veterans. Must be a current resident of Perry County with proof of residency of at least 90 days.

Required documents

DD Form 214 Marriage/Divorce info Dependents birth certificates SS# Proof of income for the last 30 days Bills paid out in the last 30 days.

Hours

Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm, except for the last Monday of the month when we hold our board meeting The office is only open 8:30am-11am on the last Monday of the month.

Description

Assist Veterans and their dependents and/or surviving spouse with various services including: - Temporary Financial Assistance for Families of Military Personnel/Veterans who reside in Perry County. The assistance may be in the form of: - Food Vouchers - Utility bill that is pending disconnection - Rent/Mortgage Payment Assistance . We also provide Veterans with: - Transportation to VA medical appointment; - Assistance in applying for VA benefits such as claims, NSC Pension, GI Bill info, burial benefits, just to name a few.
