CASA VOLUNTEER ADVOCATE | KNOX COUNTY COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATES PROGRAM (CASA)

The Advocates for Families CASA Program is seeking caring adults to volunteer in Knox County. Volunteer duties include making contact with the child once a month; full case investigation reviewing all relevant documents; meet with anyone who has information regarding the child, including but not limited to case workers teachers, medical professionals; maintain written documentation: maintain complete confidentiality; attend all court hearings and meetings; complete annual continued education hours as required by Ohio Supreme Court Rule 48 guidelines. NOTE: CASA supervisor walks alongside each volunteer throughout the life of each case.

QUALIFICATIONS: - Must be at least 21 years of age. - Must successfully pass screening requirements - Written Application - Personal Interview - Reference Check and Criminal/Civil Background investigation. - Must have access to a computer with basic computer skills. - Successfully complete the free 30 hour per-service training.
