School-age Program | Pioneer Center

Provides a functional and academic curriculum, behavioral support, and full-time nursing services to support children with severe medical conditions or behavioral challenges. Develops Individual Education Plan (IEPs) in cooperation with the child's home school district. Also provides computer literacy, prevocational and vocational education, and special programs such as therapeutic horseback riding, fine arts, and performing arts. A Transition Plan into adult life is included for children ages 14-21, and includes vocational experience, independent living skills, and community participation.
