Logan County ALERT is a high-speed telephone service that allows Logan County to provide mass notification of emergency conditions and significant events directly to citizens when timely notice is essential. The system delivers phone, text or email messages to phones registered in the system. Alerts are given for but not limited to: Evacuation, shelter in place, flood, chemical spills, gas leaks and community alerts during and after emergencies. Weather alerts for tornadoes and flash floods are also available by selecting this option.

Logan County Emergency Management Agency is responsible for the coordination of the county's resources and emergency agencies in the event of a disaster from mitigation, preparedness, response through Recovery by conducting training, exercises, and through education. They are responsible for writing, updating and exercising the Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) for the county.
