Application process

Call the crisis line for more information. Families seeking answers or services for their child will receive a preliminary screening over the phone to determine the appropriate type and level of care needed. Children and teens considered high risk may be referred for a face-to-face assessment in the Akron Children’s Emergency Department.

Fee

No fee for phone intake. Should a crisis assessment be required, and a child/adolescent is seen in the Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC) located in Akron Children’s Emergency Department, there is a charge for the crisis assessment.

Eligibility

Serves youth ages 5 to 17 residing in Summit, Medina, Portage, and surrounding counties such as Ashland, Holmes, Mahoning, Stark, and Wayne counties.
