Utility Service Payment Assistance (SHARE THE LIGHT FUND) | Salvation Army Of Southwest Ohio And Northeast Kentucky
To qualify for Share the Light assistance applicants must:
- not have received assistance through Share the Light in 2024
- be a resident of Adams, Brown, Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton, Highland or Warren counties
- have a heating account with Duke Energy
- be the customer of record at Duke Energy
- have a past-due balance, unpaid deposit for utility service, or unpaid reconnection charge
- not be on the Percentage of Income Payment Plan (PIPP) Plus program

Provides one-time utility payment assistance up to $400 for Ohio customers and up to $300 for Kentucky customers to help maintain service. Funds are available year-round, but applications will open monthly and will close once all funds for the month have been expended. Funds may be limited and distributed on a case-by-case basis.
