Addiction Recovery Services - Substance Abuse | University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center

Provides an accredited addiction treatment program that offers a wide range of outpatient addiction treatment services to help eligible patients and their families, struggling with substance use and other addictive behaviors. All patients will be assessed and then a treatment plan will be created based on the patient's needs. Outpatient Detoxification is only offered at the W.O. Walker Building and is provided over three days (they go home each evening - patient must be accompanied by a driver). Intensive Outpatient Treatment is less intensive and is provided three days a week for six weeks (offered at W.O. Walker Building and at Westlake Location). Program focus is that addiction is a brain disease affecting physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning. Provides a high staff to patient ratio.

Application process

Phone for information and an appointment for an assessment M-F: 8:00am-4:00pm. Clients can generally be seen for an assessment within one week or sooner. After assessment, if client is determined to be appropriate will be accepted into one of the programs.

Fee

Fixed fee. Accepts Medicare and most private insurance. Westlake location can accept Medicaid.

Eligibility

Adults 18 and older who are chemically dependent. Must be able to function in a group.
