Eligibility
- Serves Carroll County households with at least one child under the age of 18 (or through 19 if the child is still in high school), pregnant women (from conception to delivery), and (in certain cases), the non-custodial father or mother.
- Household income is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline Level.
- At least one member of the family must be a United States citizen or qualified alien.
- Assistance must be used for securing or maintaining employment.
Required documents
- Previous 30 days of earned and unearned income for all adults in household.
- Bank statement.
- Photo ID.
- Employer verification of working at least 20 hours a week and hourly rate (pay stubs or in writing).
- If applying for gas to get back and forth to work, will also need work schedule, notarized license affidavit (can be obtained at agency front desk), and valid driver's license (of person driving).
- If client does not have these documents, they should call to see what their options are.
