An eight bed, respite option for adults, ages eighteen and over, who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Miles House offers a less restrictive environment than psychiatric hospitalization, with a maximum length of stay of 16 days. Residential services are offered in a comfortable, homelike, supportive environment. Residents are encouraged to develop and utilize internal and external resources to help stabilize their crisis situation. Clients often find that temporary separation from their natural environment results in stabilization and resolution of the problem. Referrals to Miles House are accepted from area hospitals, community professionals, mental health centers, Netcare crisis sites and the Crisis Stabilization Unit.

Netcare Access
Provides a wide variety of specialized services to the community including crisis intervention and stabilization, medication management and mental health or drug and alcohol assessments. These services are provided for children, adolescents, adults and older adults who evidence a mental health and/or substance abuse disorder. Once Netcare provides these initial crisis intervention or assessment services the client will be referred, by a Netcare employee, to other local agencies for follow-up and/or long term, therapeutic treatment services.
