Application process

Virtual appointments may be scheduled online. Walk-ins accepted for in-person service.

Fee

No fee to apply. Customers will be responsible for Duke Energy charges beyond the assistance provided by the subsidy.

Eligibility

Open to active Duke Energy customers with a household income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

  • Natural gas only customers are eligible to receive a credit to their account for the months of January-April.
  • Customers receiving both gas and electric, and those receiving electric service only are eligible to receive a credit to their account for the months of January-April, and July-September.
