Open to Kentucky residents who:
  • are U.S. citizens or qualified legal foreign residents
  • have a with a gross monthly income at or below 130 percent of the federal poverty level and a net monthly income at or below 100 percent of the federal poverty level.

With some exceptions, individuals age 18-59 who are able to work must look for employment, accept a suitable job if offered, and not voluntarily quit a job or reduce work hours in order to maintain SNAP eligibility.

Description

Accepts applications and distributes benefits for the State of Kentucky administered Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) program. The program assists eligible low-income individuals and families with purchasing food items by loading funds onto an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) card on a monthly basis.
