Provides payment of child care subsidy for children who are abused, neglected, or dependent. Parents choose care in licensed child care center or child care home. The need for protective day care must be part of the family's case plan.

Client must contact their Social worker at Children and Family Services. A referral is then made to a Specialized Worker at Cuyahoga County Job and Family Services. Once referral has been received the Specialized worker will determine eligibility. Qualified recipients record attendance at the licensed child care provider and the provider bills the state of Ohio.

Eligibility
Must reside in Cuyahoga County. Serves parents with an active case with the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) and where the case plan involves the child remaining in the home. The child care subsidy is paid regardless of their income. Subsidy is available until the child is 13 (18 for a special needs child) or until the protective case plan is terminated.
