Enrollment with VA Health Benefits is not a requirement for services at Vet Centers. However (if they have not already done so), Veterans are urged to register for Veterans Benefits before they seek service. Offers general mental health counseling and for specific issues: sexual trauma counseling related to military service (military sexual assault), post traumatic stress disorder due to combat service, veteran reintegration counseling, couseling for victims of spousal/partner abuse, and bereavement couseling. Counseling may be offered in individual and group settings. Does not deal with legal issues.
