Quick Response Team (QRT) | Alcohol, Drug Addiction And Mental Health Services Board Of Summit County

Provides follow-up to local overdose survivors to direct them towards resources for treatment. Quick Response Team (QRT) includes a treatment counselor, a police officer, and a medic. Offered through a collaboration with local participating municipalities including Akron, Barberton, Cuyahoga Falls, Green, Hudson, Munroe Falls, Norton, Stow, Tallmadge, and Coventry Township.

Application process

Call the Alcohol and Drug Emergency Hotline for more information or for help.The Quick Response Team visits after a household member has survived an overdose. If the team is unable to make contact with the resident at home, then they leave a note with contact and resource information. The team continues to visit the home once per week until contact is made.

Serves individuals who have recently survived an overdose residing in participating municipalities including Akron, Barberton, Cuyahoga Falls, Green, Hudson, Munroe Falls, Norton, Stow, Tallmadge, and Coventry Township.
