Eligibility
- Serves Portage County households with at least one (1) child age 18 and under (or through 19 if the child is still in high school), pregnant women (from conception to delivery), and (in certain cases) the non-custodial father or mother. - Family must have income which is at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline Level. - At least one member of the family must be a United States citizen or qualified alien. - Repair must not be covered by homeowner's insurance. - Assistance is available once in a lifetime. - Assistance is limited to $2,500 in emergency repairs that directly affect the health and safety of the family. Assistance is for electric, plumbing, heat and accessibility problems (such as wheelchair ramps).
