Program provides assistance for water bills (upon verification of disconnect notice). Caller may still receive assistance if utility is shut off. Program only provides assistance on the last $100.00 of the bill. Caller must be able to prove the rest of the bill is covered and prove they can afford future payments. Note: No utilities assistance until January 2, 2026.

The Salvation Army Support Services department provides utility assistance for AES, Centerpoint, and water to those who have disconnect notices. We are also able to provide vouchers to our thrift stores for clothing and various household needs.
