Eligibility

Open to residents of Warren County who have a household income at or below 175% of the Federal Poverty Level (FPL). Examples of eligible primary heating sources include natural gas, electric, fuel oil/kerosene, propane, coal, wood, or pellets, etc.

Application process

Applications may be submitted by:

  • Scheduling an appointment by phone or online
  • Starting an application online and scheduling an appointment to finalize the application
  • Mailing a paper application. Paper applications must be mailed to address listed on the application. Mailed applications may take 12-16 weeks to process.

Offers a heating bill credit to eligible households through the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) one time per year. Assistance is applied directly to the bill for a household's primary heating source. Applications are accepted between July 1st and May 31st and assistance is applied to bills beginning in January.
