DIVORCE ASSISTANCE | LEGAL AID OF THE BLUEGRASS

Provides legal representation in the divorce process when a child or other family member's wellbeing is jeopardized. Offers help in ensuring fair distribution of marital property and debt. Also provides assisted self-help divorces where there are no children, property, or debts.

Application process

Contact the live intake line by phone or complete an online intake form at https://apply.lablaw.org/. Note: Calls are answered in the order they are received. Callers may be placed on hold for up to one hour. Individuals who have a pending court date in 3 days or less should call during intake hours for assistance.

Fee

There is no charge for the time spent on a case. If there are court costs, witness fees, or other fees Legal Aid will incur to handle a case, Legal Aid asks that clients pay them to the best of their ability.

Eligibility

Open to residents of Boone, Campbell, Grant, and Kenton counties who have a household income at or below 125%-200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
