Application process

- Call the office or visit the website for more information. - Absentee ballots are available on the first day after the close of voter registration. Voters planning to vote by absentee ballot must complete a request for an absentee ballot. Applications and ballots may only be returned by mail or in person. Electronic applications are not accepted for absentee ballots (except for Uniformed and Overseas Citizens).

Fee

No fee to vote. Must pay postage to mail application and returned absentee ballot to Board of Elections.

Eligibility

Serves residents of Summit County. Must be registered in the State of Ohio for at least 30 days prior to the election in which they plan to vote. If a voter changes their mind and goes to the polls after requesting an absentee ballot, then they will be required to cast a provisional ballot.
