Protective Services Department | Summit County Children Services

Serves as the county agency designated to assess and investigate abuse and neglect of children and youth within Summit County. Operates a 24-hour intake hotline to receive calls of concern for children and families. Reports of abuse, neglect and dependency are investigated to assess the child's immediate safety, evaluate potential safety risks, and identify family service needs. Offers ongoing supportive services including home visits, parent education, family visitation, referrals to community resources, and collaboration with other community professionals to meet each family's case plan goals.
