Families in Franklin County with one or more dependent children who have no safe place to sleep tonight. Families must be determined eligible and be referred by the coordinated point of access before being served by the YWCA Family Center.
No documents are required for immediate access to emergency services. For additional services famillies will be asked to provide photo IDs, income verification, birth certificates and Social Security Cards for all household members. Shot records are required for children who will participate in daycare. Families will be referred to community based services who may be able to assist with accessing these critical documents.

Contracts with community based organizations for interpreter services when needed.

All families in need of emergency shelter must contact the Homeless Hotline to be determined eligible. Once a family has been determined eligible a reservation will be made at one of two emergency shelters in the community. A family referred to the Family Center by the coordinated point of access will be entered into the Family Center upon arrival. Families who do not arrive before 8 am on the day after their referral will be expected to go through the eligibility process again.
