Crisis intervention services and emergency shelter for families with dependent children who have been referred by the homeless system coordinated point of access. Those entering receive basic needs, access to school and child care, case management and referrals to end their housing crisis within an average of 42 days.

Application process
All families in need of emergency shelter must contact the Homeless Hotline to be determined eligible. Once a family has been determined eligible a reservation will be made at one of two emergency shelters in the community. A family referred to the Family Center by the coordinated point of access will be entered into the Family Center upon arrival. Families who do not arrive before 8 am on the day after their referral will be expected to go through the eligibility process again.

Families in Franklin County with one or more dependent children who have no safe place to sleep tonight. Families must be determined eligible and be referred by the coordinated point of access before being served by the YWCA Family Center.
