CHILD PASSENGER SAFETY EDUCATION | PORTAGE COUNTY COMBINED GENERAL HEALTH DISTRICT
Provides classes about the installation and use of child car seats and booster seats. Offers free car seats and booster seats at the end of the program for income eligible class participants. Provides car seat inspections to check and see if child car seats and booster seats to ensure safe and secure installation.

Eligibility
Serves residents of Portage County. For car seats/booster seats: - Serves parents of children age birth through age 8. - Participants are required to attend a one (1) hour class teaching safety and appropriate use of seat (children are permitted). - In addition, the participant must be enrolled in some type of public assistance program (WIC, Medicaid, HEAP, SSI, and so forth). - Only one (1) seat per child. - Note: There are no restrictions for Car Seat Inspection Stations.
