Applicants must qualify as income eligible. Current income eligibility guidelines may be found online. Applications for the waitlist are being accepted from the following households who are currently living, working, or attending school full time in Boone County:

  • families with dependents
  • single pregnant people age 18 or older
  • individuals receiving Social Security Disability
  • individuals age 50 or over

Applications may be submitted online.

Qualified households pay 30 of their gross income for rent. The program pays the remainder directly to the landlord under a specific contract. Tenants also pay any required security deposit.

Offers a tenant-based financial assistance program that pays a portion of rent expenses for qualified applicants. Eligible applicants can find and lease approved privately owned housing where the landlord has agreed to enter into a contract with the housing authority.
