Eligibility
- Serves residents of Grant County, Kentucky.
- A person is considered “disabled” if they are age 17 or older and are unable to make informed decisions about their personal day-to-day activities or financial affairs.
- An emergency guardianship may be granted if there is a danger of serious impairment to the health and safety of an individual, or risk of damage or dissipation to the individual’s property.

Application process
- Obtain a Guardianship Information Form. Return completed form in person, by fax, or by email.
- After the form is received, the County Attorney's office will contact the applicant to schedule an appointment to review and sign additional paperwork.
- If it is believed that an emergency guardianship is necessary, contact the office by phone.
