SAFETY TOWN PROGRAMS | STOW CITY OF

Provides simulated miniature towns with scaled down roads, crosswalks, commercial storefronts, traffic signs, traffic signals, railroad crossings and school buses that young children can visit and ride tricycles through to learn about safety. The curriculum is varied and includes such topics as fire safety, safety belts, pedestrian safety, bike safety, bus safety, stranger awareness, and playground safety.

Sessions will be held for one week Monday through Friday for 2.5 hours per day. Generally multiple classes are offered in June of each year. (Students need only sign up for one (1) class). Application process

Registration is on a first come, first served basis and the deadline to register is in May. Visit the website at StowOhio.RecDesk.com for information and to register online beginning in April. Or stop in Stow City Hall at 3760 Darrow Road and register in person in the Parks and Recreation office. Once registered, you will receive confirmation via email by the end of May. An informational session for parents to discuss what your child will learn in Safety Town will be held in June at the Stow Police Department in the Community Room.
