Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive | Akron-canton Regional Foodbank
Serves as a National, annual single-day food drive to benefit local foodbank programs including Akron Canton Regional Foodbank. Accepts donations of nonperishable foods such as canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta, rice, or cereal. - Event is led by the National Association of Letter Carriers. National partners include United States Postal Service, United Food and Commercial Workers International Union, National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association, AFL-CIO, United Way Worldwide, Valpak, and Valassis.

Application process
To participate in the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, area residents are encouraged to leave a sturdy bag of donated items next to their mailbox prior to the time of regular mail delivery on the day of the food drive. Letter carriers from participating local post offices will collect these food donations as they deliver the mail and take them to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank.
