Launch Pad | Geauga County Court Of Common Pleas - Juvenile / Probate Division
Offers volunteer opportunities for those who would like to assist children who are aging out of the foster care system. Children are generally age 17 through 19 years of age. Launch Pad Sponsors are needed to provide activities that would assist the child in life after high school, such as assisting in obtaining driver's license or college preparation or visits. Volunteers may help with setting up a gift registry for foster children who are transitioning to college. "Launch Pad Host for Holidays" seeks volunteers to host a child during holidays (Summer, Winter, Spring breaks) during their senior year and college years.

Hears cases involving the delinquency of persons under eighteen years of age and cases dealing with unruly, abused, neglected, and dependent children. The Juvenile Division also hears all traffic offenses committed by persons under eighteen years of age, and has jurisdiction in adult cases involving paternity, child abuse, nonsupport, and failure to send children to school.
