Child Support - Driver License Reinstatement | Cuyahoga County Job And Family Services

Provides a means by which non-custodial parents with a child support block on their license (due to being behind on payments) have that block removed. Customers may have the license block removed if they pay the entire amount of back child support or have support payments withheld by their employer (or a bank account). Otherwise, they will have to document that they have a disability that prohibits them from employment. If the client does not have income sufficient to either pay the entire amount of child support, or to afford wage garnishment, they must participate in a mandatory Fatherhood Initiative job training program (once in the program, the child support license block will be conditionally lifted - client can miss no more than two days of the job training program).
